The 2000 uncirculated gold sovereign was issued for the millennium year and was the first bullion sovereign issued since 1982.

This British coin features Ian Rank-Broadley’s fourth coin portrait of Elizabeth II on the obverse and Benedetto Pistrucci’s St George and the Dragon engraving on the reverse. It is also available in a proof finish.
