It depicts the Queen in right-profile relief with no crown on her head, the first such design during her reign. This face of the coin has radial lines in the background field.
Reverse: The reverse side of the 2017 1 oz Canadian Lucky Dragon High Relief Silver Coin bears the Chinese Lucky Dragon image. This design comes from Simon Ng and depicts the Chinese dragon with its body curled in the shape of a letter eight. Both the dragon and the number eight are viewed as lucky in Chinese culture.
