Description

The British Royal Arms Series of bullion coins from the Royal Mint of England is one of the newest and most exciting from the mint. The coins debuted in 2019 with only 1 oz gold and 1 oz silver, but swiftly expanded in 2020 to include one more weight option in each metal. While the gold series introduced a fractional-ounce coin, the silver series went bigger with the introduction of this 10 oz silver coin. Now, 2021 10 oz British Silver Royal Arms Coins are available to you for purchase online from MK Bullion.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coin arrives in an individual plastic capsule!
  • 3rd year of issue and second release of 10 oz silver coins in the Royal Arms Series!
  • Contains 10 Troy oz of .999 pure silver in BU condition.
  • Issued a face value of 10 Pound sterling (GBP) by Britain.
  • Queen Elizabeth II is on the obverse.
  • Modern Royal Arms of England on the reverse.
  • Created by Timothy Noad.

The first official Royal Arms of England was adopted back in 1198 during the final years of the reign of King Richard I, better known as Richard the Lionheart. Over the course of hundreds of years, the Royal Arms has evolved from the Three Lions design of Richard the Lionheart to reflect the expansion of the kingdom and the various monarchs who have sat on the throne over the centuries.

The modern Royal Arms of England was adopted in 1837 when Queen Victoria rose to the throne, bringing an end to the reign of the Hanoverians and ushering in a new era in the United Kingdom. The arms was adjusted to feature a shield reflecting the states that are still a part of the kingdom today: England, Northern Ireland, and Wales.

Queen Elizabeth II is found on the obverse of 2021 10 oz British Silver Royal Arms Coins. The design featured here was created in 2015 by Jody Clark. The right-profile portrait of the Queen depicted on this side of the coin captures Her Majesty at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown.

Timothy Noad’s version of the modern Royal Arms of England features on the reverse of 2021 British Silver Royal Arms Coins. The design depicts the quartered shield of the Royal Arms with the Three Lions of England in two quadrants, the Lion of Scotland in one quadrant, and the Harp of Ireland in the final quadrant. The shield is topped by the Imperial State Crown and supported by the crowned Lion of England and Unicorn of Scotland.

These 2021 10 oz British Silver Royal Arms Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins in the 10 oz silver release are available in individual plastic capsules.
